Kubera is the Lord of Wealth. He is the caretaker of all the wealth in the universe created by God. But it wasn’t quite like this at the beginning. Once upon a time, people used to make fun of Kuber because of his obese looks . Mortified, he undertook severe penance to please Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva appeared in front of him and asked what boon he wanted. When Kuber wanted to be popular and be respected by all, Lord Shiva made him the custodian of all wealth after which all men started adoring Kuber. Kuber Mantra is chanted to win the blessings of Lord Kuber.
Kubera Mantra for Wealth
ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं श्रीं क्लीं वित्तेश्वराय नमः॥
“Om Shrim Om Hrim Shrim Om Hrim Shrim Klim Vitteswaraya Namah”||
Kubera Lakshmi Mantra
ॐ ह्रीं श्रीं क्रीं श्रीं कुबेराय अष्ट-लक्ष्मी मम गृहे धनं पुरय पुरय नमः॥
“Om Hreem Shreem Kreem Kuberay AshtLakshmayee Mam Grahe Dhanam”||
2. Wear yellow clothes for this purpose
3. Worship Lakshmi Kubera with incense
4. Lit a ghee lamp before the picture of Lakshmi Kubera.
5. Procure a Kuber Yantra and apply vermilion, sandal paste and Kumkum on the four corners and the center.
6 .Place some yellow rice and flowers on the plate and place the set up on a pedestal.
7.Kuber mantra can be chanted 108 times in a round and the cycle can be continued for 21 days forgetting the desired results.
8.While chanting the mantras, the chanters must maintain physical purity and clean state of mind.
It is essential that people are not arrogant due to their wealth.Developing arrogance is a sure way to invite the wrath of Kuber that shall give adverse results in due course.
